Moon
The moon is beautiful. It is very essential for the planet Earth and for every planet in the solar system. We need the moon because it helps control the weather and ocean tides. It has no atmosphere, which means no sound, no protection from cosmic rays and meteorites, and huge temperature variations. It has quakes, mountains, craters, and flat planes called 'seas'. There are many different moons. Jupiter has 92 moons that have been officially confirmed. The first man to set foot on the Moon in 1969 was Neil Armstrong on the Apollo 11 mission, while the last man to walk on the Moon in 1972 was Gene Cernan on the Apollo 17 mission.
